Welcome to our ‘new look’, revamped website and before going any further, we take this opportunity to thank our wonderful website designer, Lynn, Double M Design, for all her hard work in creating this site. We do hope you find the content easy to navigate and our new online booking system, ‘user-friendly’.
However, talking as your friendly first aid provider we are ~ well, Dave is ~ still happy to chat. So, please don’t hesitate to give Dave a call or drop him an email if you have any questions not addressed/answered within the website.
2023 has been a busy year for us so far. Despite zero courses being delivered from March to August 2020 (thus, no one looking to update/revalidate from that time) we have been delivering at least one 2-day outdoor first aid course per month at Badaguish ~ now our main base within the Cairngorms National Park and many courses elsewhere.
There have been several locally based 1-Day programmes, both 6-hour, First Aid at Work and some +F (forestry orientated) courses which we ran at Badaguish and back at our previous training venue ~ The Highland Folk Museum, Newtonmore. 1-day EFAW courses have been delivered for local companies/organisations in the Balavil Hotel, Newtonmore. And, 1-Day programmes were delivered with Macdonald Aviemore Resort for their staff and, at the Resort for the new Aviemore Ice Rink staff members.
Further afield, we have recently worked with our loyal client RSPB, running a 2-Day outdoor course in their well-appointed Centre at Forsinard, in the Floe Country in Caithness. Two weeks ago, we were in Larbert High School, working with some of our Falkirk Council teaching colleagues.
Over the years of OMFA being in existence (~ established 2000) our client base has widened and, except ‘mid-pandemic’, the number of courses has increased. However, experience has shown that appetite for first aid training wains during the weeks of schools’ summer holidays. Thus, our next 2-Day course is now scheduled for 16th & 17th August. We take this opportunity to thank our many loyal clients/friends who appear to appreciate and value our practical first aid training work. We look forward to welcoming you onto our programmes for many years to come.
